City Of Jackson issued the following announcement on Feb. 09. 

HELP WANTED: PART-TIME LIQUOR STORE CLERK

The City of Jackson is accepting applications a part-time Liquor Store Clerk.  Daytime, weekend, and evening shifts (starting at 5 p.m.) available. Weekend work typically involves 4-5 hour shifts on two Saturdays a month. Duties include operating the cash register, providing customer service, cleaning, dusting bottles, assisting with stocking coolers and shelving products, performing carry out services, and other duties as needed. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience in a retail or similar setting, ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, stand for a long period of time, have strong customer service skills, and be able to clean and have a general knowledge of cleaning practices. The position is considered “critical/essential” and employees are required to work during emergencies such as pandemics.  Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
