City of Jackson issued the following announcement on Jul 15.
We know you are all anxious for the splashpad to open. So are we! Unfortunately, we are running into a series of problems with the splashpad. When one problem is fixed 2-3 more new problems pop up. The pad is still not operational. We are awaiting the company who sold us the splashpad installed it to come and look at it as the new problems are beyond the capability of our staff to repair.
Thank you for your understanding. This is not the news we wanted to deliver. We will update again when there is more to report.
