City Of Jackson issued the following announcement on Jun. 17.
SPLASHPAD UPDATE: For those who may have missed the update earlier in the week, the splashpad is still closed. We are just as upset and disappointed as you are! The hold up is we are waiting on a computer chip for the computer that runs the system. As of Tuesday we were told it was 2-3 weeks out yet before it arrives at the splashpad manufacturer in Quebec, and then it has to be shipped from Quebec to Jackson. Realistically, it will probably be mid July when we are able to open the splashpad.
