Minnesota residents can soon expect to see their extended federal jobless benefits roll in, and some may have already started seeing the additional $300 on their unemployment payments.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has committed to providing six weeks of additional benefits to those receiving unemployment benefits in states that chose to accept the offered additional payments put forward by President Donald Trump, according to reporting by The Center Square. Minnesota’s application for additional benefits was approved on Aug. 29.
The Center Square shared the state-by-state tally originally created by Forbes showing when each state was approved and when residents can expect to begin receiving the additional benefits.
A handful of states, including Kansas, Montana, Kentucky and Vermont also opted to contribute an additional $100 to the additional unemployment payments, however Minnesota residents will not receive any additional money from the state, according to the table of states from Forbes.
