There were 1,226 students enrolled in Lac qui Parle County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 4.2% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Lac qui Parle County comprised 52.2% boys, with girls representing the remaining 47.8%.

Data also showed that white students made up 78.1% of the student body, the largest percentage in Lac qui Parle County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 9%, 7% Hawaiian Pacific Islander students, 3.1% multiracial students, 2.3% American Indian students, 0.3% Black students and 0.2% Asian students.

Lac qui Parle Valley Secondary had the highest enrollment among Lac qui Parle County's five schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 380 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
