How many students were enrolled in Pipestone County schools for 2024-25 school year?

There were 1,614 students enrolled in Pipestone County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 3.5% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Pipestone County comprised 51.5% boys, with girls representing the remaining 48.5%.

Data also showed that white students made up 67.1% of the student body, the largest percentage in Pipestone County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 24.4%, 3.3% American Indian students, 3.2% multiracial students, 1.7% Black students and 0.3% Asian students.

Pipestone Elementary had the highest enrollment among Pipestone County's seven schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 580 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
