2021 has 2.8% of Murray County residents unemployed

Murray County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 116 people out of the 8,224 living in Murray County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Murray County has remained fairly stable compared to the 2.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Murray County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 4,086 people who had a job during that time, 2 were employed in the Armed Forces and 4,084 belonged to the civilian labor force.
