Wabasso Public School District: MCA and MTAS Math results for 2021-22 school year

Wabasso Public School District ranked third in the Redwood County for test participation, with 209 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Wabasso Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 2.5% over the previous year.

Wabasso Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 54% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 31% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, third grade students had the most room for improvement, with 43% not meeting the expected standards.

Wabasso Public School District encompasses schools within Redwood County and has a main office in Wabasso.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
