MCA and MTAS: How many Milroy Public School District students took their Reading tests in 2021-22 school year?

Milroy Public School District ranked fourth in the Redwood County for test participation, with 21 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Milroy Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 19.2% from the previous year.

Milroy Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 43% in 2021-22 school year.

Sixth grade students stood out with 0% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, sixth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 0% not meeting the expected standards.

Milroy Public School District encompasses schools within Redwood County and has a main office in Milroy.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
