Round Lake-Brewster Public School District: MCA and MTAS Math results for 2021-22 school year

Round Lake-Brewster Public School District ranked third in the Nobles County for test participation, with 225 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Round Lake-Brewster Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 16.6% over the previous year.

Round Lake-Brewster Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 32% in 2021-22 school year.

Eighth grade students stood out with 35% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, sixth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 51% not meeting the expected standards.

Round Lake-Brewster Public School District encompasses schools within Nobles County and has a main office in Brewster.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
