Adrian Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Adrian Public School District ranked second in the Nobles County for test participation, with 313 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Adrian Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 11.8% over the previous year.

Adrian Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 45% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 45% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 50% not meeting the expected standards.

Adrian Public School District encompasses schools within Nobles County and has a main office in Adrian.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
