How many Truman Public School District students took their MCA and MTAS Math tests in 2021-22 school year?

Truman Public School District ranked third in the Martin County for test participation, with 104 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Truman Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 16.8% from the previous year.

Truman Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 31% in 2021-22 school year.

Sixth grade students stood out with 18% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, fifth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 60% not meeting the expected standards.

Truman Public School District encompasses schools within Martin County and has a main office in Truman.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
