How many Hendricks Public School District students took their MCA and MTAS Reading tests in 2021-22 school year?

Hendricks Public School District ranked second in the Lincoln County for test participation, with 70 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Hendricks Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 40% over the previous year.

Hendricks Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 48% in 2021-22 school year.

10th-grade students stood out with 18% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, fifth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 33% not meeting the expected standards.

Hendricks Public School District encompasses schools within Lincoln County and has a main office in Hendricks.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
