Hills-Beaver Creek School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Hills-Beaver Creek School District ranked second in the Rock County for test participation, with 182 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Hills-Beaver Creek School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 5.7% from the previous year.

Hills-Beaver Creek School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 63% in 2021-22 school year.

10th-grade students stood out with 15% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, third grade students had the most room for improvement, with 18% not meeting the expected standards.

Hills-Beaver Creek School District encompasses schools within Rock County and has a main office in Hills.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
