Florence Township issued the following announcement on Feb. 08.
The 2023 planting season will be upon us very soon. At this time, we are reminding all residents that the Florence Township Community Gardens periodically have plots that become available for new gardeners to enjoy. There are currently two community gardens located in town. The Florence Township Community Garden is located at West Third Street & Foundry Street and Roebling Village Community Garden is located at Hornberger Avenue & Fourth Avenue.
The community garden plots are available to residents and local organizations and gardeners are selected on a space available basis. Anyone interested in taking part in community gardening, please visit our website and complete the fillable form and submit to our office. As we prepare for the 2023 season we will identify garden plots that have been vacated over the past year and will contact inquiries in order of submission to confirm your interest. https://florence-nj.gov/community-gardens/
