Worthington Psd issued the following announcement on Jan. 28.
Congratulations to Greg Raymo, President/CEO of First State Bank Southwest! At tonight’s annual FORWARD Worthington’s Extravaganza, Greg was awarded the “Friend of Education” award. Greg is a lifelong southwest Minnesota resident and a respected leader who is well-connected to the work within the region for the past 26 years. District 518 Schools was honored to nominate Greg, and then was chosen by the committee as the Friend of Education award given annually by the Worthington Chamber of Commerce.
Greg volunteers with the Junior Achievement (Kiwanis program that helps educate and inspire at Prairie Elementary and Intermediate School) and Worthington High School business department. In his role at the bank and personal support has contributed to the Worthington Sports Boosters, Worthington Area Music Boosters Organization, WAYBA and more.
There are very few projects that require additional funding that Greg at the helm of First State Bank Southwest as President/CEO, has not contributed financially or supported. If Greg cannot attend events or help in the classroom, he willingly sends his staff to attend and give needed support.
For many years Greg has been the vocal cheerleader for District 518 and its part in educating tomorrow’s workforce and leaders. His connection to the community allows Greg to be the trusted opinion for confidential ideas, questions, or request for his well thought out viewpoint.
We appreciate Greg for his past and future support of District 518, our staff, administration, and endeavors. Thank you for being a champion of Worthington and our school system, Greg. Congratulations again for this very deserving recognition! #518schools First State Bank Southwest
