Watonwan County Sheriff's Office received a call from a citizen of the county stating they received a phone call from a scammer that he won cash and a car.
The citizen said he told the caller if this was not a scam, to have the Sheriff's Office call him and tell him it was not a scam.
The citizen said he received a phone call a little later saying they were from the Sheriff's Office (the wrong Agency). The caller knew at this time it was a scam and ended the call.
