2022 CITY CLEAN UP

There will a 30-yard dumpster located at the city shop from September 28 thru October 3 for Walnut Grove residents to bring any items down that they are not able to get rid of during the regular garbage pickup. There will be a $20 charge per pickup loads for items that are not listed below. Any resident unable to deliver their items to the shop should contact Tom at the city office (859-2135)
Large items may be put out at the curbs or residents may deliver them to the shop if they are able. You may pay for your items starting Wednesday, September 28 at the city office. You should leave your payment in the drop-box with a note on what needs to be picked up or what you have thrown in the dumpsters.
The cost to dispose of furniture, appliances, and electronics for Walnut Grove residents will be as follows.

Appliances include stoves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, dryers, washers, furnaces, air conditions, microwaves, hot water heaters, dehumidifiers, trash compactors, and some misc. The City will be charging $10 for appliances that we pick up.
Household hazardous waste items may be discarded the first and third Tuesday of each month starting in May through October at the Redwood Country waste Facility in Redwood Falls free of charge. Call for appointment or schedule at 507-637-4023.
* Appliances may be taken to Redwood Falls the first Wednesday of each month and dropped off behind the Redwood County Museum between 2-6PM free of charge for Redwood County residents.
Grass clippings, leaves, and branches will need to be taken to the Walnut Grove Disposal Site. The Disposal site is located 1 mile south on County Road 5 and then 1\4 mile east on 110th Street. The site will be open on Saturday’s weather permitting from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Wednesday’s from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.
