Construction update #22
Week of May 9, 2022
The contractor continued to place sanitary sewer main on TH86 going south from the Funk Avenue intersection toward the 7th Avenue intersection. New Sanitary sewer main has currently been placed up to the 7th Avenue intersection. Storm Sewer placement has been installed from the river on the north end of town to approximately the center of the Wastewater Treatment Facility. This week we had a rain event on Wednesday night that halted construction until the site has been cleaned up and bypass pumping has been caught up. Concrete sidewalk has begun on Chicago Street and Is approximately 50% complete. Summer Lane driveways have been poured and currently the street is now ready for milling and paving.
Week of May 16, 2022
The contractor will continue with sanitary sewer and storm sewer installation on TH86 with progress going south to Menage Avenue. If the contractor can reach the Menage Avenue intersection he will then possibly begin water main installation between the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Menage Avenue. The concrete contractor will be back on site next week and intends to finish the sidewalk installation on Chicago Street.
General Information
Garbage and Recycling bins are currently being relocated by the contractor for pick up in affected areas. If your bins have not been marked indicating your house number, please do so and try to maintain the number on your bins if possible as it is easy to mix up garbage bins. As a reminder, TH86 is currently closed for north and south traffic; however, TH86 crossings between Mill Road and Menage Avenue are open. There are several residences and businesses on TH86 and as a friendly reminder please remember to take the most direct route to avoid TH86 as there is much concern for safety during construction.
