City of Belview issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
On the afternoon of Saturday, December 19th a couple of boys decided that it would be a good idea to break glass bottles with golf clubs at the tennis courts. These young men just happen to be photographed and the photo was sent to the City. The boys may not realize it but folks here take a lot of pride in our community and do not appreciate it when someone else's playing around makes a mess that someone else has to clean up or makes it unsafe for others. If you happen to be one of those individuals or their parents please see to it that the glass is all cleaned up by Monday, Dec. 21st by 5:00 p.m. and nothing more will be said about the matter. Kids don't always think of the consequences of their actions. These young guys are being given a chance to right a wrong. Merry Christmas.
And, thank you to the alert, caring neighborhood watchers that saw what was happening and chose to not ignore it and became involved.
