Sen. Bill Weber (R-Luverne) is supportive of a recently passed bill that will finance critical infrastructure in Minnesota.
“I am pleased to see several important local projects funded in this legislation,” Weber said in a post on the Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus website. “By investing in our infrastructure Minnesota [is] making a long-term investment in our state’s economy. These investments will not only improve quality of life across the state but provide jobs and economic development to the region. This is a good bill that focuses on what our state needs and will provide a boost to our economy as we recover from COVID-19.”
The new bill will provide $300 million for wastewater treatment and $700 million for roads and bridges, according to the MNSRC post.
Other things included in the bill is tax relief for farmers and small businesses, a pay raise for State Troopers and funding for state law enforcement agencies.
