CITY OF BELVIEW: Mandated Everyone In The polling Place On Election Day Must Wear A Face Mask

Maskdispose

City of Belview issued the following announcement on Aug. 18.

The Minnesota Secretary of the State's Office has mandated that everyone in the polling place on Election Day must wear a face mask.

During the General Election on November 3rd, no one will be allowed in the Belview Community Center, which is the polling place for City of Belview and Kintire Township voters, without a face mask. If you do not have a mask or forget yours one will be provided.

We realize that wearing a face mask poses a concern for some voters because of certain medical conditions. Because your vote is important, we want to make you aware of your options. If you are unable to wear a face mask in the polling place you are asked to arrange for curbside voting on Election Day or if you prefer you may also vote by absentee ballot. An absentee ballot application and directions may be found on the MN Secretary of State's website. If you do not have access to a computer you may stop by the Redwood County Auditor's Office or the Belview City Clerk's Office for a application form.

We are just trying to do our part to keep our election judges and other voters safe during this pandemic.
