City of Madelia issued the following announcement on July 29.
The City of Madelia Street Department will be seal coating the Southwest and Southeast sections of the community as well as some alleys in the Northeast and Northwest sections on August 11th, 2020.
During the patching and prep work, streets, or portions of streets, will be temporarily closed. Throughout the seal coating process, traffic is restricted until the aggregate is applied and parking is prohibited on the streets being coated. Any parked cars left on the marked streets will be towed to driveways or around the block in the event that they are not moved. The streets due for seal coating will be marked off with signs. Streets will be available for parking when signs are removed after the aggregate is applied and the necessary compaction is complete.
