The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce unveiled some guidelines to its businesses as it deals with COVID-19 and the recovery of the state's economy.
Chamber President Doug Loon wrote a letter to the chamber members, emphasizing the importance of practicing effective health and safety precautions.
"We’ve all sacrificed a lot in the last few months to prevent dire health consequences from COVID-19. And now our economy is opening up again, mitigating long-term economic devastation in our state,’’ Loon wrote.
Loon said his office had a number of resources for member businesses in creating preparedness plans. Businesses had to submit their plans by Monday, June 29.
Businesses used recommendations from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
"Recognizing that it’s not business as usual and businesses have a responsibility to protect workers and reassure customers, we have designed resources to help you develop and implement these plans,’’ Loon wrote.
