Elois Butler Wildflower Garden And Bird Sanctuary issued the following announcement on June 25.
Happy #NationalPollinatorsWeek! The Wildflower Garden has counted 102 species native bees buzzing around the wildflowers. That’s nearly 1/4 of the native bees in Minnesota! Generally, Native bees are more efficient pollinators than honeybees (who are not native to North America.) Let’s look at blueberries for example: native bee pollination produces twice as much fruit as honeybees!
