Walnut Grove R-V Schools issued the following announcement on April 23.
Dear Elementary Parents,
I hope this letter is finding everyone healthy and safe. We have been working on finalizing details for the remainder of the school year and want to keep you as up to date as possible. A Q & A letter was sent out earlier this week, please read it if you have not read it yet. It can answer many questions you may have. The elementary teachers will be sending out one more packet of materials to get the students through to the end of the school. We would also like to collect all the work that has been completed up to this point so the teachers can have time to look through it. On Thursday, April 30th, the office staff will be at the elementary from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. We are asking parents to come during this time to pick up work and student’s personal belongings from cubbies. At this time please also return all completed work, library books, and any other school materials that are not needed for the remainder of the school year. We will have another big drop off date on May 14th to collect the last of the work and the rest of the school materials (textbooks, chromebooks, etc.) In order to keep everyone safe, we are going to try to have areas outside the building to drop off and pick up materials. However, if the weather is not conducive for that, we will set up in the elementary building. If this happens only 10 people will be allowed inside at a time.
Again thank you for being flexible and supporting your students/children and teachers through this stay-at-home learning process. Remember if you have questions or need anything, please let us know.
Mrs. Christina Bowers
Walnut Grove Elementary Principal
