Golf courses and outdoor areas in the area have been given the OK to stay open amid a stay-at-home order, according to Marshall Independent.
According to Gov. Tim Walz’s new Executive Order 20-38 issued earlier this month, which was effective as of Saturday, April 18 at 5 a.m., parks, golf courses and marinas will be open to the communities, under the condition that everyone still adheres to social distancing guidelines.
“It’s important for us to stay active and enjoy the outdoors while preventing the spread of COVID-19. This measure will allow Minnesotans to take advantage of more opportunities to get outside, while still doing their part to keep their neighbors healthy," Walz said.
While several outdoor areas like private parks, outdoor shooting ranges and bait shops will stay open, other related areas such as campgrounds and outdoor equipment retail stores will keep their doors closed for the time being.
