In Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has put bans on all businesses as a safeguarding reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sen. Julie Rosen however, firmly hopes that the governor will take back and amend this decision.
“In a few hours, Gov. Tim Walz is scheduled to announce changes to his strategy for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic," Rosen said in a Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus release. "It is my sincere hope that part of this strategy includes relaxing restrictions on some businesses related to his stay-at-home order.”
Rosen believes that the safeguards already in place for COVID-19 have kept Minnesota quite safe and the continued ban on business is inflicting harm on several industries.
“Minnesota has done remarkably well at preparing for the expected surge of coronavirus patients. But the economic fallout has been painful almost across the board. Some people can work safely with little risk of spreading the virus. We should let them. We can do better than a one-size-fits-all solution," she said.
