Northrop ranked 329th in state for resident earnings in 2017

Northrop ranked 329th among cities in Minnesota by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Northrop residents was an inflation-adjusted $30,795 per year. Northrop had 107 households in 2017, with a population of 198.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Deephaven. Deephaven's median income was $68,182 per year after adjusting for inflation – $37,387 more than Northrop. It had 1,377 households in 2017 and a population of 3,818.

Boy River had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Minnesota, with a median income of only $6,625 per year. That was $24,170 less than the median income in Northrop at the time. Boy River had 27 households in 2017 and a population of 59.
