City of Belview issued the following announcement on March 17
This is information that we just received from our safety group program leader. I thought it might be helpful.
"Due to the shortage of disinfectant availability, a bleach and water solution of 10 parts water to 1 part bleach can be used to disinfect surfaces. It can be mixed into a spray bottle and used on hard surfaces. Please keep in mind that our medical and science communities are still researching this virus and information is changing day to day.
According to information from the Environmental Protection Agency, the amount of time that the bleach solution must stand on the surfaces can be anywhere between 5 minutes to 10 minutes to be effective. Do not spray it on and wipe it off immediately or the solution won't be as effective"
