CITY OF BELVIEW: State Of Minnesota Redwood County Auditor/Treasurer Notice Of Presidential Nomination Primary

City of Belview issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.

Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 207A.11, a Presidential Nomination Primary will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the State of Minnesota, the County of Redwood.

The Presidential Nomination Primary will be held in all 43 precincts located in Redwood County and the polls will be open from the hours of seven (7) or ten (10) o’clock AM to the hour of eight (8) o’clock PM.

Presidential nomination primary voters must be registered to vote pursuant to Minnesota Statute 201.054, subd. 1.

Nomination primary voters must also request the ballot of the major political party for whose candidate the individual

wishes to vote.

Polling place election judges must record in the polling place roster the name of the major political party

whose ballot the voter requested.

The county auditor must include the name of the major political party whose ballot the voter requested with the voting history of the nomination primary election.

The major political party ballot selected by a nomination primary voter is private data, except that it will be shared with the chairs of the major political parties in the State of Minnesota.

The polling place location and start time for the City of Belview is at Belview Community Center, 202 Main St S. Belview, at

7 am. until 8 p.m..

If you have moved to Belview or changed addresses within the city of Belview you can fill out a registration application by going to https://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voti…/register-to-vote or call 507-637-4013 to obtain an application. Pre-registration closes Tuesday, February 11th at 5 p.m. for the PNP Election and is highly recommended to reduce time registering on Election Day.

Poll pads have replaced paper rosters here in Belview. To make the line move a little faster voters are encouraged to bring along their current driver's license for the election judge to scan.

Absentee voting began January 17, 2020 and ends Monday, March 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.. Applications and voting can be done at the Redwood County Auditors/ Office M-F 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..
