City of Luverne issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
By April 1, 2020, households will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census.
You will have three options for responding to the Census:
- Online
- By Mail
- By Phone
Every household that doesn’t respond will receive reminders in the mail and eventually, a paper questionnaire will be mailed to you. If no response is received by the end of April 2020, a census worker will follow up in person. The enumeration period will end in July 2020. The Census Bureau will begin transmitting population totals in 2021.
