City of Cottonwood issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.
Pursuant to Ordinance 86-1, the following requirements are for the open burning of leaves within the City of Cottonwood:
1. Each resident or property owner desiring to burn leaves during the open burn period must obtain a permit from the City Office.
2. The burning of dried leaves are permitted only.
3. Bruning is permitted by dawn to 8:00 PM.
4. No unauthorized burning of leave upon another resident's property is permitted.
