City of Porter issued the following announcement on Sep. 23.
Porter's Annual Community Cleanup day will take place with refuse pickup the morning of October 1. Any tree or compostable yard waste can be taken to the city's tree disposal site west of town. Please note that the tree disposal site is for tree and compost yard waste only, no other refuse is allowed at the dump.
