On Friday, March 6, Bethany Lutheran Vikings, featuring former Marshall High School standout Cooper Mensink, were defeated 86-70 by the Gustavus Adolphus Golden Gusties in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup tipped off at 7:20 p.m. at Gus Young Court and marked the Vikings’ first tournament game against Gustavus Adolphus.

Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Granite Falls allocated $53,070 to men’s basketball teams in 2024, which is $434,304 below the state average of $487,374, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
